Nowadays, the automotive industry, that it is facing the new “industry 4.0” revolution, requires that graduates in engineering have a multidisciplinary training that they have not matured in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The purpose of the Master is to provide graduates in engineering the necessary complementary preparation and a better insight into the automotive industry, to facilitate the insertion of graduates in the company.
The Master is jointly organized by the University of Florence and the University of Pisa thought the University Center for Automotive and Mobility Research (UCAR) “Corradino d’Ascanio” established between the two universities in 2015. The departments that are contributing to the Master are:

Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa
Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering, University of Pisa
Department of Energy, Systems, Territory, and Construction Engineering, University of Pisa
Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa
The master’s degree was generated on inputs and in collaboration with three important companies that have establishments and research centers in the Tuscan area but which are part of large multinationals groups: Continental Automotive Italy Spa, Magna Closures S.p.A, Motrol Division, Rheinmetal Automotive – Pierburg Pump Technology. The 3 industries are sponsors of the Master.
Company’s representatives will participate in the selection process of the candidates and the same companies will provide internship opportunities to the participants in the Master as well as providing teaching staff and laboratories.
